My 1st time to vote

This week I finally got to vote for the first time!!! It was soooo exciting!! The ballot was

pretty big so I had fun filling it out!!!

Mr and Mrs George Theis

Last week George Theis and his wife came to visit and George went through the whole book of Acts with our group in 4 days!!! He is a great teacher... then his wife Joann also spoke to the ladies in our group and that was very encouarging I really enjoyed getting to meet them!!!

George and Joann are directors of Word of Life Bible Institute!!!

Noel :)

Noel is the GAP director here in Costa Rica!!!! He is awesome I really have enjoyed getting to know him. His wife Mary and his daughter Noelia both teach 2 of my spanish classes.

It is really neat to see his whole family serving the Lord!!! He definitely took really good care of me while I was sick and made me feel like one of his daughter's...I am so blessed to know him!!

My mentor: Gaby

One of the privledges of the GAP program is that each student is assigned to a certain SCORE missionary who will be our mentor for the year. We meet with our mentor once a week and they are there to help us with whatever we need help with!!!! This is such a great opportunity and I definitely have the best one LOL!!! Gaby is Jose Prado's wife who is the SCORE director here in Costa Rica!!!

Fright nite at El Lugar

This is Andres and I before I had to go in ... This past saturday at the church i attend they had a fright nite and it was really scary!!! They did a great job with it and just had a message at the end to share the Gospel!! This is the girls who are in my church group... we have fun!!!

Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit a church in Coronado there I met up with Dennis Mills, Jerry Hatfield, and Bob Ray!!! It was great to see all these people from home!!! I loved this church they really made me feel welcome!!!

El Parque = the park

Last monday a few of us went to a local park and then to the zoo we had a total blast!!!

Saturday in the Mountains :)

Our church group from El Lugar went out last saturday about two hours into the mountains. We went out first to invite the people that lived in the mountains to come to a elementary school close by. There at the school we then had a skit and Bible lesson for all the people who came out. Afterward we played a ton of games and and spent time playing and talking with the children!!! We saw 17 souls saved that day... PRAISE THE LORD!!!

Poas Volcano

On monday which is our free day our group took a trip to the Volcano Poas. It was about a 2 hour bus ride but we had so much fun and the view was absolutely breathtaking!!!

Impacto Church

Impacto Church is the church I went to last sunday!!! This is Marlon who I met last year on my mission trip to CR. I really enjoyed visiting Impacto because the pastor is one of our Bible teachers here at the villa!! His name is Pastor Paul :)

Monday is our free day so a group of us got together and went to this amazing park near El Camino!! It was a blast :)

Happy Bday Missy

We all went out to dinner the night of Missy's bday and celebrated!! It was so much fun ... we really enjoy celebrating birthdays here because it is hard to have a bday away from your family and friends so we try to make it special!!
